the green edit

More recently, I’ve found myself consistently reaching for all things green. And for good reason: it’s a genuine crowd pleaser. If you’re ever struggling to choose between colours with your partner, family or flat mates, green is a safe bet. It’ll never feel like a compromise for anyone involved. Some have gone as far as dubbing it today’s equivalent of ‘Millennial grey’. For me, it’s the new neutral, and it’s going to be everywhere in 2025.

I’m not usually a huge fan of trends, trying to find pieces that are more timeless as opposed to transient, but I think green will always have a place in our homes. Although I’m not sure enough time has passed for us to go back to avocado bathroom suites.

If it is the new millennial grey, let’s learn from our past mistake: love it, buy it, but don’t let it be the only colour you incorporate into your space. Like grey, green goes with so many colours, so pair it with your favourites. Be that warmer tones like pinks, reds, oranges and browns or cooler tones, like blues and whites.
