the 2025 christmas gift guide
Christmas, although the most wonderful time of the year, can feel like a lot. Have I booked my supermarket slot? Is 3-nights of plans back-to-back too much in one week? To watch every Christmas film, do I need to start watching them now? (And yes, Die Hard is considered a Christmas film in our house).
With all of that to think about, sometimes gift-giving can happen on auto-pilot ("Oh but you always LOVE scarves"). I don't want it to be *another* thing on your to-do list, so I've written this gift guide to try and offer a helping hand. As with every gift guide, these are just ideas. But to try and account for most budgets they range from £4.25 to £99. Top tip to make even a 'small' gift feel extra special? Cluster your gifts. A bottle of wine will always be well received, but a bottle of wine and a beautiful new bottle opener? That's the sign of going the extra mile. Or instead of just bringing your favourite cheese, why not a beautiful cheese board too? You get the gist.
Some of these gift ideas are from high street brands, others are from independent sellers. At this time of year, I totally get it if convenience wins. But If you do happen to have the time, energy and budget: shop local this Christmas. More of the money spent at an independent store stays within the local community (in comparison to larger stores). And I'll bet you any money it'll make a local sellers day when you place an order with them
